There is something so special about photographing a couple who can simply be themselves in front of the camera, and Juana and Vance were the perfect example of that! Their summer couples session at Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama, was filled with genuine laughter, sweet moments, and the kind of effortless connection that makes photographing love so much fun.


Surrounded by the lush greenery and beautiful gardens, we spent the session capturing their personalities and the joy they bring out in one another. From playful interactions and endless smiles to the quieter, more intimate moments in between, every photograph felt like a true reflection of their relationship.


One of my favorite things about couples photography is capturing all of the little moments that make a relationship unique. The way two people naturally gravitate toward each other, the laughter they share, and those genuine smiles that simply can't be posed. Juana and Vance made that part of my job so easy!


Birmingham Botanical Gardens provided the dreamiest summer backdrop for their portraits. Between the vibrant greenery, romantic garden paths, and beautiful natural light, it was the perfect setting for a session that felt both timeless and full of life.


Juana and Vance's gallery is a beautiful reminder that couples photos don't have to feel overly posed or serious to be meaningful. Sometimes, the most treasured images are the ones that capture you laughing together, having fun, and simply enjoying each other's company.
